Annual General Meeting, subscription renewal, diary dates and news
The AGM will be held at 7.30pm on Tuesday 24 April 2008 at Portsmouth Naval Base Property Trust, 19 College Road, HM Naval Base, Portsmouth PO1 3LJ. It is an opportunity for Friends to meet and we look forward to seeing you. If you wish to attend please send your name to me (for security reasons) by 12 April 2008, together with any Agenda items, nominations for officers or resolutions that you wish to submit. You can use the slip below to send both your intention to attend and/or, if you have not already renewed your subscription for 2008, your cheque for £5.
The Festival of Christmas
On Saturday 1 December 2007 The Friends of the Porter’s Garden ran a mulled wine and mince pie stand at The Festival of Christmas in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. This turned out to be a very successful initiative, and we made over £300.00 for our funds.Border Opening
Sunday 4 May 2008 at 1200
On Sunday 4 May 2008 at 1200, our newly planted border to celebrate the 300th Anniversary of the building of the Porter’s Lodge will be formally opened. The border will be planted with a selection of the herbs used over the centuries for medicinal and culinary purposes. You are all invited to the Border Opening.
Midsummer Garden Party
Sunday 22 June 2008, 2-4pm
Garden Party - all are welcome to the Midsummer Garden Party on Sunday 22 June 2008. Enjoy refreshments and music in the beautiful Porter’s Garden for £6.00. More details later.
